Hoodoo Bath Recipe for Healing from Heartbreak - Magic Spell for Comfort and Strength

This is a modern style (new age) type of hoodoo bath. In the old time tradition, a mixture like Uncrossing would have sufficed for this intention.  How much bath salt you need for a single bath depends on the size of your tub and on your own body size (a bigger person displaces more water and thus needs less salt per bath.) I made this with about 1/2 cup of salt and 2 drops each of the pure essential oils. If you are using diluted oils you will need to increase the amount.  For this homemade heartbreak healing bath salt, you will need: coarse salt (such as kosher salt) green dye (food coloring or soap coloring) 4 green gemstones (any type so long as they are green) balm of gilead oil (might be sold under the name "balsam fir") rose oil (if you can splurge for the real stuff, please do so) Combine the salt and oils, and mix well. Add the green dye and see that it is well incorporated. Then put it into a clear jar or glass along with the gemstones. Place the container in ...

Hoodoo in the Time of Covid - Coronavirus and Disease Magical Protection, and Magic Spell for Curing Illness

First of all -- we all understand that I'm writing about magic and folk beliefs, not science or medicine, correct? Good. Now onto the article. Magic spells to protect against disease are some of the oldest known occult workings. It is very logical when you remember that, until fairly recently in history, people didn't know what caused diseases, and so they seemed "magical" as anything. There was a lot of assumption that disease was caused by hexes or evil eye. With so much danger lurking, many remedies and protective charms were devised by the old time magicians to guard against disease and illness. One famous charm was the SATOR SQUARE. It is a palindrome written in the Latin language, dating back to Roman times and in use well into the 19th century and, arguably, still in use today as a talismanic charm against misfortune, hexes and disease.  In modern form, you can wear this charm as part of a face mask (itself a protective talisman of sorts) -- You can get the Sat...

DIY Witchcraft Curse Removal for Unnatural Illness or Evil Voodoo Spells

A friend of mine had been going through a long period of exceedingly bad health. Her condition was diagnosed as diverticulitis but her symptoms were much, much more severe than anything most people with that disease seemed to suffer, and medical treatments didn't seem to be helping. She was winding up in the emergency room about once a month, the medical treatments were always ineffective, and she was so ill that she couldn't even work anymore, much less continue with what had previously been a very active social life.  After suffering this for over a year, she asked me for a spell to help, and I decided to start with uncrossing rituals -- just in case it was an "unnatural illness" caused by a curse, rather than a normal disease. (It's of note that I tend to think of magical health spells as kind of waste -- you're usually better off putting the energy into normal medical treatments, which evolved from practices that at one time would have been conside...

Wiccan's Medieval Witchcraft - Actual Spells The Would Have Been Used in the Middle Ages and Renaissance

I've seen so many texts that advertise their stuff as "old time" when the stuff in fact can be dated to the 1920s at best. I was sick of this. I decided I would make a more authentic book of old time spells. And so we have  -- The Wiccan's Book of Medieval Witchcraft. Note that these are not hoodoo spells. As the name indicates, they are more alike to Wiccan spells, though actually are not technically even Wicca since everything in the book predates the creation of the Wiccan religion in the 20th century. They are nevertheless true and legitimate older European spells, some taken directly from medieval sources.  Contrary to the modern perception that all witchcraft was banned in medieval times, there was actually quite a bit of what we'd nowadays classify as witchcraft going on -- however, at the time it was viewed as just superstition, folk remedies, or sometimes even understood to be legitimate science! Basically, as long as it wasn't bei...

Cast Off Evil Hoodoo Magick Spell

For removing bad habits from yourself or others, for cleansing after doing "bad work", overcoming ill behaviors, etc. This is a particularly suitable version of the magic spell for anyone who cannot burn candles or incense -- while it's easy to perform with an image candle, the candle itself is not ever burned. You need: 1 black devil figural image candle OR a black voodoo doll Cast Off Evil oil Lemongrass sachet powder Hyssop sachet powder Most Powerful sachet powder personal concerns wax or a 'junk candle' white cloth or white paper, and string for wrapping You also need to have access to a river, ocean, or other body of water. Start the work a little before dawn: Begin by boring a hole in the base of the devil candle. Fill it with the personal concerns of the person for whom this spell is being cast. Also add a few drops of the Cast Off Evil oil before using your wax to seal up the hole. (You can use wax dripped from a '...

St. Hildegard's Cookies

St. Hildegard of Bingen lived in the 12th century. She was known to receive visions from God, and perhaps utilizing these, she not only invented a new genre of music (pretty much the first new thing since the Gregorian chant) but also wrote some medical books, plays, and was a highly respected abbess. She was never formally canonized, but it was a simpler time, and she's made her way to having a special feast day on the calendar. One of her recorded medical remedies was a small cake or cookie intended to make a person smarter and happier. The original recipe was only cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and flour with some water added. However, many versions are going around which try to make these a little more palatable to modern tastes. Here is my own effort: 2 c all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 c butter 1 egg 1 c white sugar 1/4 c water 2 1/2 tsp each: ground nutmeg, cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground cloves Directions: 1. In large bowl, cream together the short...
