Remove and Repel Unwanted Love

Being loved by everyone is not always a positive thing. Sometimes you may find you are attracting the affectionate attention of a person you wish would just leave you alone. Here are some suggested methods of dissuading such a person if you do indeed discover yourself in this position:

  • Wear Love Breaker oil on yourself as a perfume any time you go to meet them or are forced to encounter them.
  • Bathe with rue or with black cohosh root infusions to repel their attention.
  • Use the freezer jar spell to "chill" their emotions: take the person's photo or name paper and place it in a small jar of water (optionally you may add ingredients like vinegar to sour them, Love Breaker to kill their love, etc.) then set the jar in the back of your freezer where it won't be disturbed.
  • Burn Mars incense over their photograph, or carve their name on a human figural candle of the appropriate gender and dress it with Mars oil. (Mars is God of War and works contrary to Venus, Goddess of Love.)
  • Write the person's name on a paper using water-based ink. Take the paper to the sink and thoroughly scrub with soap and water till the name is obliterated. Take the remaining paper outside and hide it under a rock.
  • If the person is so troublesome that you want them out of your life completely, sprinkle powders of Lost and Away or Banishing when they get near you, in order to send them packing.

Now, if the person is also using love magick on you, you will probably need to perform some additional uncrossing and spell breaking magick as well to get them off your back. That is another post, but for now, use this information wisely and good luck to you.

The Intranquil Spirit

The Intranquility spell is, unfortunately, the first resort of many a rejected lover. What to Do When Love Spell "Backfires"?

A lot of people who cast love spells do so with an inherent fear that it might 'backfire.' They expect this. They buy their spell and want to know what will happen if the spell backfires . Most people who hold this belief seem to consider it something akin to the 'karma' rule of magic, wherein it's perceived that magic or certain types of magic are bad or evil and that they will cause bad or evil to come back on the person who uses them. Not all magical systems believe in this, and not all practitioners of magic believe in this. Ammonia - A Spiritual Cleansing Agent for Magick

Ammonia is a strong cleansing agent in hoodoo magick, both physically and spiritually. In Edwardian times it was advised as an old home remedy for a nerve tonic (see recipe below.)  "Household ammonia" or "ammonium hydroxide" is a solution of NH3 in water. Household ammonia ranges in concentration from 5 to 10 weight percent ammonia. The Romans called the ammonium chloride deposits they collected from near the Temple of Amun (Greek Ἄμμων Ammon) in ancient Libya 'sal ammoniacus' (salt of Amun) because of proximity to the nearby temple of Amun, the chief god of ancient Thebes. Salts of ammonia have been known from very early times; thus the term Hammoniacus sal appears in the writings of Pliny, although it is not known whether the term is identical with the more modern sal-ammoniac (ammonium chloride). Spiritual Use of Turpentine in Hoodoo and Witchcraft

  I have posted in the past about the use of giving one's bedding a spiritual cleansing from time to time.  I recently was laundering my pillows in the same load of laundry as some turpentine-soaked rags, with the result that the pillows emerged from the wash reeking of turpentine.  From a magical perspective, this may not be a bad thing. Turpentine is used in old-time hoodoo rituals for purposes such as uncrossing, protection and sometimes as a feed for mojo bags. Its solvent powers and strong odor do indeed suggest a powerful spiritual cleansing agent, and it is still used in some modern day cleaning products on a purely practical level for these same reasons.  Old time medicines sometimes included turpentine as a thing to drink, in small doses. A book from the 1850s, The Domestic Medicine Chest , recommends giving it to children in a dose of one teaspoon for killing tapeworm.
